Azerbaijan Airlines
Stories at cruising altitude
Gold Dolphin · Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2024
Overview
I developed scripts for more than 150 videos for Azerbaijan’s national airline, while managing filming, coordinating production teams and supervising creative execution — from short-form TikTok stories to an in-flight safety film recognised in Cannes.
Concept & approach
Write for the feed first. Short, human stories that make flying feel personal — pilots, crew, destinations and the moments travelers recognise. When the collaboration began, AZAL had roughly 80,000 TikTok followers; it grew to around 300,000, without paid media behind the views.

Special appreciation
from the President of Azerbaijan Airlines — The Girl Who Dreamed of Flying
International Women’s Day · Script
The Girl Who Dreamed of Flying
One of my most meaningful projects. A young girl meets a female pilot and starts asking the questions only a child would ask.
“Can you touch the clouds when you fly?”
“What about the rainbow? Have you ever flown to where it ends?”
“Can you see us from up there?”
“But why can’t I fly?”
“People don’t have wings — but one day, you could become a pilot yourself.”
“Then I want to become a pilot too.”
“Never be afraid to follow your dreams. I believe you’ll become a wonderful pilot.”
Happy International Women’s Day to every girl who dares to dream, and every woman who gives her wings.
A celebration of women’s achievements and young girls’ ambitions — presenting aviation as a field where those dreams can become reality. Recognised with special appreciation from the President of Azerbaijan Airlines.
The films
8 videosAn in-flight safety film that weaves safety instructions into the cultural and tourism identity of Azerbaijan. I developed the script and detailed creative filming concepts; filming and production were carried out by Baku Media Center’s professional team. Gold Dolphin, Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2024.
A cinematic brand video that presents Azerbaijan through visual storytelling rather than conventional promotional messaging. I wrote the script and shaped the narrative approach: one cohesive visual journey, built on mood and rhythm, that invites the viewer to feel the destination before being told about it.
A pilot walks the audience through the procedures and preparations an aircraft goes through before departure. The concept pairs technical information with an accessible narrative, making aviation operations understandable to everyone.
International Women’s Day campaign. A young girl meets a female pilot and asks the questions only a child would ask — and leaves with a dream of her own. Script by me; recognised with special appreciation from the President of Azerbaijan Airlines.
An employee-focused video following the daily professional life of a flight attendant — a closer look at the people and responsibilities behind the passenger experience.
